Wow! Where do you put all this stuff when it's not the holiday season?

How 'bout a contest to come up with more decorating "guidelines" for this site!

I love it!!

Go going guys!!! It appears you are doing your part to helping keep the neighborhood in the holiday mood and possibly even one of the blocks that does their own contests or night walks. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!! Big neighborhood displays need to keep coming back bigger every year so more families can walk around nearby areas, spend time together and discusss what they see each night.

Listen to the lights!?? If listening to the lights makes one commit such a decor crime as this, please don't listen to the lights! Can anyone make it to or from the front door?

It hurts my head

Er.... where's the door?

A self-submission! Yes! This is what those yards are really all about...delighted to know this family has the right attitude!

I would hate to see your power bill! No seriously, it looks like you guys have a lot of fun!!!

I can't say I dislike this. It is a bit "busy" as we say, but, on the whole, it is not too bad.

not used anymore. said...

I love it "where do you put all this stuff when it's not the holiday season" and the contest "to come up with more guidelines." Fuh nee.

This family is apparently searching for the real meaning of Christmas.

way overdone.

Um, just a little much, guys. I don't think your neighbors enjoy the migraine, and god only knows how huge your electric bill is. . . maybe you should take it easy next year.

Please add another violation code in honour of the Liquori familia:

The House That Barfed Xmas

Talk about an environmental nightmare!!! Why do some people feel it necessary to consume so much crap! A little can really go a long way. No wonder our plant is slipping away from us so fast. Think about what happens to all that plastic when they finally decide they are done with it! It will sit in the landfill for millions of years if not forever. We really need to start educating people about how this kind of crap is killing our plant!

OMG- This is a real life version of Shrek's swamp, no joke either! I can smell my eyes burning just looking at it! Not that that makes any sense!!

As with most, I like what I see, but can not help but think of all the power that just seems to be wasted.

Wow! It all seems a bit much. How do people get to your front door? The nutcracker it's self is just a but over the top for me. I like the effort that a family puts in to decorating their home, but call me old fashion but isn't less more? In reality it's your home and you can do as you wish! Happy Holidays!

It looks sort of like a gingerbread house...with gumdrops and everything!

ok, so i'm thinking the electric company sends them a thank you card and a gift with their electric bill...

this is nuts!

I just bumbled onto this site on January 2.

Where does all it go in the "off season"? What does your January electric bill look like?

BTW, TCY may say it's tacky intermingling, but my kids' heads would explode. My house's lights were B-O-R-I-N-G this year.

I just noticed betty boop on the side of your house, what is the deal? Why don't you put the easter bunny too? You guys are freaks.

do these people have any restraint?? :)

fun site!~

peace,

Oh my, I want to know what time of the year do you guys start decorating? I'm sure you start on Jan 1st because it takes 12 months to get it all up...oh then that would mean that you just keep it up all year? mmmm??

LOVE it ! It has a strange

tacky, yet unrefined.

haha, too funny.
saddest part is the self-submittal.

I can't decide if they are trying to do a 'where's waldo yard' or if a giant ate all the neighborhood's Christmas decorations and got sick to its stomach. Power bills!? What about the warehouse they have to rent during the other 11 months of the year!? By the way, I think I found waldo!

Yellowstone Gal said...

I'm afraid they will eventually have to list "Christmas Decorations" as an asset on their personal financial statement in order to get a loan to pay for the January electric bill.
Thanks for the laughs, TackyChristmasYards!

What gets me more than anything else that suffocates this yard, other than the humor here at TackyChristmasYards, is me figuriing out how they could even get into their house, and I bet those who drive by think that way too. Wonderful!

Her Big Mouth said...

DANG! That's alot of lights! How do they sleep at night??...we had a few lights on our bushes and it lit up my entire room!

Anonymous said...

holy lord. it looks like every sappy christmas special melted onto these peoples lawn. you could cook hot dogs over emense btu energy those lights are giving off.

Christine DeCamp said...

I love Xmas decorations--tasteful and tacky, both! We used to drive around and look at all the decorations--it was a major part of Christmas. I love this!!! Yes, it's too much, but hey! It's only once a year! Better your electric bill than mine! I remember seeing a similar house here in Marin county, where the people had a DONATION BOX to help with their electric bill. Happy Holidays!

lolpwnedfish said...

wow that house got wtfpwned by the christmas season. that looks so lame, i would advise taking down those decorations.

Connie T. said...

Can they cram any more stuff in that yard next year? I would hate to see all the wires during the day time.

Jessica said...

I like to imagine these people running through stores finding every possible blow up toy or figurine possible and asking the kids "Do we have this one yet??" "Not in that color! Get it, quick!" If this was my house, I'd sneak extension cords to neighboring back yards to keep my bill down.

I absolutely LOVE that this was self-submitted. Too funny!!
